This The Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation owns and operates Tsawaak RV Resort & Campground.
Tsawaak is derived from His-shuk-nish-tsa-waak, meaning “we are all one,” honouring a deep connection to nature and the land.
The Nation has been working with Tla-o-qui-aht owned Hithuiis Spirit Construction Management Co. to develop the versatile and convenient RV resort and campground located next door to Tin Wis Resort. Its Visitor Centre includes a retail shop, Tla-o-qui-aht cultural and language hub, and a gallery to showcase Tla-o-qui-aht artists’ works. As we gear up for summer, our Visitor Centre is preparing to become a vibrant hub for local culture and craftsmanship. We are excited to announce that our shelves will be stocked with an array of local artworks, snacks, RV parts and supplies and refreshing beverages.
Moreover, in our commitment to supporting local talent, we have launched a Call to Artists Campaign, offering talented Tla-o-qui-aht artists a platform to showcase and sell their exceptional artwork onsite. Find out more below.
